A new basketball season has started in our household. Tim had a great game, but his team is new and still have some kinks to work out. I'm hopeful that they can pull it together next week!

He made this from scratch (minus the bread and mallows)...

It was interesting. He loves cinnamon much more than I do.

Whoops. I got a day behind. I guess this us now Project 364. :-) I didn't even take a single picture yesterday. And, well, this is today:

I'm trying a new app on my phone that will let me blog on-the-go and use pictures from my phone. Sweet!

By the way, that's a parrot we met at Jungle Island in Miami. More on that later!

Happy 1.11.11!

I looked out the window this evening and found this...

Umm...ok? I ask for a White Christmas and get rain.  I ask for a nice January and get snow.

Not. Cool.

OK.  Here's the deal.  I have been failing a little bit with Project 365.

I will try to improve.

Now here's 2 pictures from our Christmas celebrations, that I don't think I'll get the chance to post about on their own.

Crazy cousins on Christmas Eve...

Modeling our sweet hats, a present from Grandma, on Christmas Day...

Oh snap...I'm already a day behind.  Woops!

Yesterday we headed to Seattle for a delicious dinner with family.  We exited the ferry to Seahawks traffic.  Lots and lots and lots and lots of traffic.  This is the only picture I took before the camera died.

There's more to come today!

I've run into a problem.

You see, many of the people that I know or have seen complete Project 365 have some sort of muse.  That may be children, pets, or maybe they like to photograph food.  Seeing as Tim and I don't have children or pets and we don't make very much food worthy of photographs, I've run into a road block.  I don't think you want 365 photos of our condo.  Right?!  What do I post instead?

To remedy this situation, I'm going to put up a link.  Now I know that this isn't a "photo," but you will be able to view a part of my job.  I've already shown you my home office, this is just an extension of that.  You might also be wondering why I'm posting an older version?  This is an exclusive email for just Member-Owners, so if I post the current one, it wouldn't be exclusive.  I take this stuff seriously. :-)

Enjoy!

December Member-Owner Newsletter

Oh, and I did take the photo on the top of the newsletter!  That is Tim's parents' backyard!

Seeing as how I'm still trying to sort out pictures from our trip to the Caribbean and it's colder than you-know-what here at home, I'm going to put up one of my favorite pictures from our trip...

Doesn't it look so nice and warm?! Remind me again why we came home?!

Project 365.1 & 365.2

Tim and I are home from our holiday vacation in the Caribbean renewed and brimming with ideas and resolutions for 2011.  However we seem to already be a day behind!  There's an online community of bloggers and photographers who participate in "Project 365," posting 1 (or more) photographs a day.

Now, Tim and I do not consider ourselves photographers, we just really enjoy our camera.  And I'd like to have a consistent record of our year, so I've made a resolution to participate in Project 365 in 2011.

Day 1:
While this may not be the most artistic picture in the world, it was the very first one we took in 2011.  It's the beginning of a new year and, frankly, I don't know if we'll be able to top 2010!  Here's a sample of our year...

195 - # of nights we spent other than our house
3 - # of countries we visited (Japan, Bahamas & Turks and Caicos)
9 - # of states/districts we visited (WA, OR, FL, NC, MD, PA, TX, D.C. & DE)

We've got big plans for this New Year that I look forward to sharing with everyone in the future!

Day 2:
On our cruise last week, Tim remembered that he forgot a small addition to our stockings on Christmas morning...scratch tickets!  So when we got home from the Harry Potter Exhibition (a Christmas present for me) we got to scratching.  We won a total of $11!!  It was a great day!

Be on the lookout this week for a multitude of new posts regarding our Christmas vacation! And of course, I'm expecting all of you to hold me accountable to this Project 365...
