4 Months!

Wow! 4 Months have gone by QUICKLY!

4 Month Updates
17lbs, 8 oz and 27" long

Rolling over from back to front (He can roll front to back, but he prefers to be on his tummy - his doctor thinks its because it makes him more comfortable and helps with his reflux.)

Grabs and puts EVERYTHING in his mouth (including my hair!)

Seems to prefer his right hand for grabbing and batting at things and rolls to the left

Started taking music classes once a week

Loves to laugh, especially when he receives kisses on his belly

Blows raspberries/bubbles with his lips to get attention

Back to where it all began...

Egan took his first trip to Pullman this past weekend! He was a very good passenger and only had two crying fits on the way there - not too shabby!

Saturday was GAME DAY, so we hit up Cougar Country for lunch with the rest of Pullman...
And then it was GAME TIME!
Egan was lucky to have Jessica there to entertain him.

The Cougs had a pretty good lead and Egan was getting a little restless, so we decided to head back to Shawn & Jessica's at half-time. (Plus, Shawn was making delicious homemade pizza for dinner!)
It's crazy to think that we've been friends for 10 years! I'm so thankful to have met both my best friend and my husband within a few days of each other.
Egan also rode the bus for the first time on this trip!
On Sunday we did a little walking tour of campus and got to see Jessica's office.
But, unfortunately, we had to make the long trek back to the West Side. Egan, however, was a CHAMP! He slept for probably 5 of the 6 hours of the drive. All the playing and new surroundings were pretty exhausting for our little Coug.

We got a roller!

This was actually the second of three rolls that morning! And today he did an full roll from back to front and back again.
Post-roll baby thoughts: "What is going on?! And why are you clapping so loud?"

3 Months!

Within the first few days of Egan being home I told my mom that I "just wanted to make it through the first week." I seriously can't believe it has been 3 months. Our little guy is getting quite big!
3 Month Milestones...
  • 26" long and 16 lbs, 2 oz (That's about 95-99th percentile in height and weight!)
  • Likes tummy time and can roll to his side, but not all the way over yet
  • Smiles when you sing to him or say his name - he likes "Wheels on the Bus"
  • Can be pulled into a sitting and standing position
  • Grabs for toys and tries to stick them in his mouth
  • Can push his binky into his mouth

Introducing the Newest Member of Team Wells

It would be impossible to catch this blog up with all that has happened since we left San Diego, but the biggest and best news is the arrival of our son!

We got our nursery area all set up...
and Egan Thaddeus was born May 30th at 12:35pm!
He weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces and measured 22 inches long...
We were both enamored from the moment of his arrival!
Both sets of grandparents were able to visit us that evening.

The next day Egan had his first shampoo...
and after his hearing test (he passed!), congenital heart test (passed again!) and an extra jaundice/bilirubin test (he passed!), we got to take him home.
It's amazing how little they look, especially in a big car seat!
More updates to come...
